Sarah Walker

As a professional Running Coach, I have spent the last decade honing my coaching skills and experience in my home county of Yorkshire, working with clubs and individuals towards a common goal - to run! I'm passionate about running, and everything that is involved to make running feel good, and enjoyable. Whether that is becoming stronger, improving nutritional strategies, working through injury or training to run further.

I have an extensive background in sports coaching, strength and conditioning and academic qualification in Sports Science, and personally long term experience in endurance sport which allows me to see training from the participants perspective.

My aim is to help athletes at all levels, through sport specific training, to improve performance, avoid injury and work to achieving their goals – principles that relate to individuals at all levels, from running your first 5km to reaching for Ultra distance events.

Where do I start?

Meet me at the track for a technical session. I'll teach you how to warm-up safely, understand your technique and how you might be able to develop into a more efficient runner. This session gives you the option to have your VO2 max assessed if you're interested in finding out just how efficient you are running.

Run sessions include;

  • Pre-run warm-ups and technical analysis of running

  • Post run recovery and mobility

  • Hill training

  • Plyometrics and Speed
